Bolivia Larecaja Café Ecológico - Washed process

Almond and pecan flavors with mild acidity and sweetness

The Regional Association of Ecological Coffee Producers of Larecaja (APCERL) is a coffee cooperative located along the eastern slope of the Andes. An area of importance for the conservation of the Amazonian headwaters and threatened by agricultural expansion linked to coca, corn and cattle ranching.  Their agroforestry systems are characterized by a high diversity of canopy shade species.  To date 213 bird species have been registered in the area under APCERL management as a result of the diverse shade structure of the agroforestry systems and the connectivity to primary forest.

APCERL has been Bird Friendly certified since 2014 and is dedicated to producing organic coffee. Located in La Paz, Bolivia, this region is notable for its soaring mountains and boasts the world’s highest national capital between 3,250 and 4,100 masl.
