Fazenda Água Limpa

Fazenda Água Limpa is part of Fazendas Dutra, which represent much more than just production of high-quality regenerative organic coffees. Fazendas Dutra is a family farm business that began growing coffee in the mountains of the Matas de Minas region in the 1950s.  It is a group of small farms run by the Dutra family.

Nowadays, Fazendas Dutra is specialized in growing regenerative organic coffees. The coffees are a family legacy built over the generations, with deep roots in the tradition and passion for cultivation.

Currently, the farm is under the administration of the third generation of the Dutra family, with the fourth generation already beginning its journey in the world of coffee. This familial continuity guarantees the preservation of the values and knowledge transmitted from father to son, ensuring the authenticity and quality of the products.

Pulped Natural processing

Like the Honey process, Brazilian Pulped Natural processing relies on the removal of the cherry skin and a portion (but not all) of the fruit mucilage to create its signature flavor profile and mouthfeel. The coffees are depulped and then dried in their remaining mucilage for a period of up to two weeks. Patios are the most common drying surfaces.
